Micro geometry definition and assessment
SABR offers a seamless integration to Dontyne’s Load Analysis Model, which calculates the deformation of gear tooth components and their consequences on properties such as stress and transmission error under load. With this integration, the gearbox design process was significantly enhanced - taking the designer from design layout, through gearbox and gear macro geometry analysis to assessing the effects of misalignments and micro-geometry on transmission error and surface contact stress.
For any number of load cases, SABR calculates the misalignments and passes these to the gear design tool for macro geometry gear design and rating. All duty cycle, macro geometry and misalignment information can then be integrated into Dontyne's Load Analysis Model for detailed tooth contact analysis. Export to The Ohio State University’s LDP program is also available. Macro geometry, duty cycle and misalignment information is automatically exported for micro-geometry design and transmission error calculation.
